Beim Kauf eines Dogscooters sollten einige Kriterien beachtet werden:
* Verbreitertes Trittbrett mit ausreichend Platz für 2 Füße
* Verlängerter Gabelschaft in Kombination mit steilem Vorbau und gekröpftem Lenker für eine aufrechte Körperhaltung.
* Eine Bereifung 26" vorn  X 20" hinten empfiehlt sich wegen des geringen Rollwiederstands der Reifen.
Das 20" Hinterrad ermöglicht Aufgrund des damit verbundenen kurzem Radstand eine optimale Kurventechnik.
Das grobstollige Profil der 26" X 2,25" vorn bzw. 20x 2,15 Ballonreifen sorgt für guten Gripp im Gelände.

Bremsanlage Cross I

  • Die Shimano Felgenbremse ist die altbewährte günstigste Bremsanlage, wie wir sie aus dem Fahrradbereich kennen. Die Shimano Felgenbremse hat ausreichend Gripp dass man schnell zum Stehen kommt.
  • Da das Vorder- und Hinterrad getrennt zu bremsen sind kann man gut dosiert arbeiten und die Leine zum Hund schön stramm halten
  • Hydraulische Scheibenbremsen haben nur der Cross II und Cross III. Dort ist durch den Öldruck mehr Feingefühl beim bremsen möglich, im Gegensatz zur normalen Felgenbreme vom Cross I.

Im Extremfall zerbricht das einfache Kunststoffschutzblech dabei. "Weltmeisters" reagiert auf die speziellen Anforderungen im Dogscooting mit einem stabilen Aluminium Schutzblech für das Hinterrad. Ein 8 cm breites Aluminiumblech mit einem Kantenschutz eingefasst, schafft 5 cm umlaufend Luft zwischen Reifen und Schutzblech. Unser CROSS Schutzblech in den Farben schwarz und neongrün/gelb ist passend für alle FAIRBANKS Modelle und zum Nachrüsten für alle Kostka Tretroller mit 20" Hinterrad. This sunscreen worked well when we went to a clothing optional beach in 101°f weather - neither my husband or I burned at all and I spent most of the time in the water! My friend and her husband used a way more expensive brand and both burned. This stuff is thick. It sits on the skin even after being in the water and isn't super easy to get off. The second time I applied it I went back into the water and tried to kind of wash it off of my hands and it wouldn't come off at all, so my hands had a visible thick layer on them the entire 2 hours I swam. I even used sand and rubbed my hands - nothing. I finally had to use a baby wipe and then wash with warm water and soap twice in an actual bathroom to get it off, but since it was all over my skin it also got all over my husband's brand new car and isn't easy to clean off. We will definitely use it again because the protection was worth it, but maybe use it a little more sparingly! I have a tendency to slather it on because I got so burnt last year I had blisters and needed rx burn meds and iv fluids to recover 🤣
