In the foreground falconer wearing a light coloured thobe (long shirt) topped with a cartridge belt and suspenders stands in front of a camel couched beside a low shrub. The man holds a peregrine falcon on a mangalah (cuff) on one hand, and leans on a camel stick in his other hand. The falcon, blinded with a leather hood, perches on the mangalah in profile, facing towards the left.
