The K&N 57S-4000 Performance Airbox replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air box lid. K&N performance air boxes are designed to dramatically reduce air flow restriction as well as smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The 57S-4000 Performance Airbox comes with an oversized conical K&N high-flow air filter and an injection molded air box lid with the K&N logo embossed on top. The air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This performance air box is relatively easy to install into the air box base with commonly available tools. K&N builds these air box systems to last for the life of your vehicle and they are backed by K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty. Some K&N 57S Series Performance Airboxes are compliant with the latest TUV emissions and sound regulations. Arrow is AIRFLOW direction, not UP install direction
Arrow is AIRFLOW direction, not UP direction. So installation direction might mean arrow of your Purolator filter should be down (true for glove box installs) even if arrow on old filter is up (if it was an UP indication). I wish they mentioned this in product listing, on box, or on side of filter like most brands. Luckily, telephone customer service was super responsive. Otherwise, product is correct size, appears sturdily made.

Easy to install and great quality—perfect for my 2018 Civic
Size: 2.0L
I bought this for my 2018 Honda Civic, and it fits perfectly. It only takes a few minutes to install with just a few clips, and the process is simple. I am a woman and do it myself with no issues at all.
The filter feels sturdy and well made. The thickness and overall quality are excellent. I’ve seen people mention “ease of cleaning,” but I don’t clean mine. I just remove, vacuum the area and replace it when needed. That might be a bit much, but it’s affordable and straightforward.
I can’t say exactly how much it improves airflow or fuel mileage, but I consistently get over 40 miles per gallon in economy mode, so it’s clearly performing well. Overall, it’s a great product if you like handling basic car maintenance on your own.
