作者
姜峯楠(Ted Chiang)
中文姓名姜峯楠。他是美國人，卻也是典型台灣留學生的孩子。他的父親姜復本是國共內戰時期流亡來台的年輕學生，後進入台大就讀，1957年畢業後赴美留學，取得美國佛羅里達大學機械工程博士學位，隨後任教於紐約州立大學。
姜峯楠1967年出生在紐約，畢業於布朗大學計算機學系。1990年發表第一篇小說《巴比倫之塔》即勇奪「星雲獎」，2000年再以《妳一生的預言》拿到第二座「星雲獎」。到2003年，《上帝不存在的地方叫地獄》更一舉拿下「雨果獎」「星雲獎」「軌跡獎」三大獎。
在寫作上，他近乎苛求的追求完美，每篇故事都有一個石破天驚的創意，千錘百鍊精雕細琢，所以，寫作迄今30年，他只寫下17篇中短篇，但每篇作品都在當年的科幻界造成巨大震撼，橫掃各大獎。
他是史上第一個榮獲「雨果獎」的華人，到目前為止已經９度提名，４次獲獎。此外，他還拿下４座「星雲獎」、４座「軌跡獎」，還有15座全球各大科幻獎。
2012年，全球最權威的Locus Online讀者世紀票選，他一個人囊括20世紀中篇小說第１名，21世紀中篇小說第１名、第２名，短篇小說第１名。更驚人的是，他總共有10篇作品名列榜上，甚至超越了所有的前輩大師，包括艾西莫夫和克拉克。這是科幻史上的空前紀錄，他成為科幻史上的傳奇人物，在全球讀者心目中享有神人般至高無上的地位。
現在，全球的科幻迷仍在引頸企盼他的下一篇作品，期待他再一次突破顛峰的震撼。

zelda‘s “indoor” ⚽️ ball!

zelda loves her soccer ball - because of the fabric “tabs”, and the way she treats her toys, we keep it inside. she loves to place all of her toys and bones on our bed, after they’ve been cleaned. this ball is perfect and soft enough to throw it down our steps, where she will run down, retrieve it, and bring it back to the bed.
it arrives deflated and comes with the pump and two needles - the pump is not the sturdiest and felt like it was not inflating, but after only having to reflate it once with a bit of air since receiving it ~5-6 months ago, it still holds up!

Small for a medium

I got medium.. and it does not look like a medium ball.. it’s rather small. It’s pretty sturdy and my dogs went crazy for it but it’s definitely not the size I thought it was going to be 😂 my dogs chewed one strap within 5 minutes of having it but they’re dogs and that’s what they do lol. I bought this to be an outside ball for them! It’s pretty light but that’s probably because it’s small. Not soft? But feels like a soccer ball. It also had no smell coming out of the box. Also comes with a pump and an extra thing to put in the ball to pump in case you lose one. I like these balls, I expect them to be chewed up because that’s what I bought them for! Fun for my dogs and they are! But the size… it is not medium and that’s the only reason for 3 stars 😂😂😂 Other then that I recommend, your dog will definitely love this! Inside or outside playing! Alone or with another dog!

Great toy for a GSD
Color: Blue Gray, Size: Extra Large Size 5 (9")
My GSD loves to grab the flaps and shake her head with the ball bouncing of the side of her head. This is her favorite toy. I thought she would puncture it but it has held up great since she likes to grab the flaps rather than biting the ball.
