Killer high-stim energy plus real pump and performance kick

APS Nutrition Mesomorph is that classic high-stim pre-workout that makes your session feel fired up and aggressive, while still giving you real performance help. It's not just caffeine and flavor. It packs a base of beta-alanine, L-citrulline DL-malate 2:1, arginine alpha-ketoglutarate, di-creatine malate, taurine, creatine nitrate, creatinol-O-phosphate, and agmatine sulfate for pumps and strength. Then there's the intense stim mix with methylxanthine anhydrous, Senegalia berlandieri extract giving 200mg phenylethylamine alkaloids, theobromine, naringin, and isopropylnorsynephrine HCl.

Heads up: this uses prop blends, so we don't know exact doses for most ingredients. That makes it tough to say if beta-alanine hits the 3.2g daily mark for boosting muscle carnosine, or if citrulline malate gets to 6-8g for better nitric oxide and endurance. Same for creatine—hard to tell if it's enough for full saturation. Transparent labels are better for checking doses, no doubt.

Still, the ingredients make sense together. Beta-alanine helps build carnosine in muscles to buffer acid during tough reps, so you can push through the burn. Taurine aids cell hydration and muscle function; studies show it can give a slight edge in endurance at 1-6g, but we don't know the exact amount here. Citrulline malate and arginine AKG both boost nitric oxide—citrulline is usually the stronger one for that.

Key Highlights

  • 200mg phenylethylamine alkaloids from Senegalia berlandieri extract—that's what gives Mesomorph its signature rush. It amps up your mood and energy fast, way beyond plain caffeine.
  • Stacked stim mix with methylxanthine anhydrous, theobromine, naringin, and isopropylnorsynephrine HCl—this combo hits hard and lasts longer. No quick peak and crash like single-stim stuff.
  • L-Citrulline DL-Malate 2:1 for nitric oxide boost—citrulline works better than arginine for getting more arginine into your system without breaking down fast. You feel better blood flow, pumps, and muscle delivery during sets.
  • Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate adds extra pump power—citrulline is top dog for NO, but AAKG helps widen those blood vessels too. Shows this isn't just a stim bomb; it's got real gym feel.
  • Beta-alanine fights fatigue in high-intensity reps—consistent use builds muscle carnosine to buffer acid, so the burn doesn't end your sets early.
  • Taurine boosts cell volume and performance—studies show it helps with endurance and keeps cells hydrated. In a heavy stim formula, it makes the workout feel supported, not just wired.
  • Creatine nitrate and di-creatine malate for dual creatine action—one helps with pumps via nitrates, both support quick energy. Smarter than just tossing in basic creatine.
  • Creatinol-O-Phosphate is a cool add for intense training—it buffers inside cells and aids energy. Not in most pre-workouts, gives this an old-school hardcore vibe.

Who Is This For?

  • Seasoned lifters who handle strong pre's and want more than a caffeine jolt. The stim stack brings fast energy, urgency, aggression, and focus that beats basic formulas.
  • Bodybuilders in high-volume phases needing intensity and pumps. Citrulline malate, arginine AKG, agmatine sulfate, taurine, and creatine nitrate support long sessions with good muscle feel.
  • Gym rats whose workouts lag mentally before physically. Methylxanthine anhydrous, phenethylamine alkaloids from Senegalia berlandieri, theobromine, and naringin make it driven and engaged.
  • Strength-hypertrophy folks wanting more than stims. Beta-alanine, creatine forms, taurine, and creatinol-O-phosphate help with hard sets, compounds, and volume.
  • Guys bored with mainstream pre's that feel weak or short. Naringin and theobromine extend the energy smooth and long.
  • Lifters in high-energy gyms wanting a matching pre. It's bold, for feeling the rush and attacking heavy, dense workouts.

How to Use

Begin with half a scoop in 8-12 oz water 20-30 minutes pre-workout to test tolerance. This is high-stim, and the mix can hit way harder than basic stuff, even without knowing exact caffeine. If it's good, go full scoop for big sessions.

Take on empty stomach for quick kick, or after light food to ease it. Use a shaker for even mix—powders like this need shaking. Cold water tastes best.

Don't stack with energy drinks, extra caffeine, or other stims unless you're pro at it. Add standalone creatine to hit 3-5g daily, since amounts here are blended and unknown. Tolerance builds, so cycle or use for 3-5 hard days a week. Store sealed, cool, and dry to keep it fresh.

What to Expect

First 0-10 minutes: taste hits, stomach settles, and you get that pre-buzz. 10-20 minutes: energy builds, focus sharpens, maybe tingles from beta-alanine, and you feel the workout calling. 20-40 minutes: peak time—methylxanthine, phenethylamine alkaloids, and adrenergic stuff make it intense, pumps start rolling in.

40-90 minutes: theobromine and naringin keep it going steady, not a fast crash. Depends on your tolerance and food. Days 1-7: feel the stim rush, focus, and pumps right away. Weeks 2-4: beta-alanine and creatine build up for better set tolerance and output if you're consistent.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much caffeine is in APS Nutrition Mesomorph Pre-Workout?

The exact caffeine amount is not disclosed on the verified formula data available for this product. The label lists methylxanthine anhydrous, which typically refers to caffeine anhydrous, but APS does not provide a full transparent mg amount here. What is clear is that this is a high-stim formula also containing theobromine, naringin, phenylethylamine alkaloids from Senegalia berlandieri, and isopropylnorsynephrine HCl, so the total stimulant experience is stronger than caffeine alone would suggest.

Is Mesomorph a pump pre-workout or a stim pre-workout?

It is primarily a high-stim pre-workout with secondary pump and performance support. The stimulant matrix defines the product’s identity, but citrulline malate, arginine AKG, agmatine sulfate, creatine nitrate, taurine, and beta-alanine give it a meaningful pump and training-performance foundation.

Why does Mesomorph feel stronger than standard pre-workouts?

Because the energy system is layered rather than relying on caffeine alone. In addition to methylxanthine anhydrous, it includes 200mg phenylethylamine alkaloids from Senegalia berlandieri extract, theobromine for a smoother extended curve, naringin to potentially prolong stimulant effects, and isopropylnorsynephrine HCl for additional adrenergic intensity.

Does Mesomorph use proprietary blends?

Yes. That means exact doses for most active ingredients are hidden, including beta-alanine, citrulline malate, taurine, agmatine, creatine forms, and the core stimulant agents. The ingredient roster is compelling, but you cannot verify each ingredient against clinical dosing standards the way you can with a fully transparent formula.

What should I feel from the beta-alanine in Mesomorph?

If the serving provides enough beta-alanine, you may notice a tingling or prickling sensation called paresthesia shortly after use. That sensation itself is harmless and is separate from the long-term benefit, which comes from repeated daily intake raising muscle carnosine levels to improve buffering during hard sets.

Can I stack Mesomorph with creatine?

Yes, and for many users that is a smart move. Mesomorph includes di-creatine malate and creatine nitrate, but because the exact doses are not disclosed, adding a standalone 3-5g daily creatine monohydrate product ensures you reach the intake range most consistently supported for strength and performance.

Should beginners use APS Mesomorph?

Generally no. This formula is better suited to advanced users with established stimulant tolerance because of its multi-angle stimulant profile and undisclosed total stimulant load. New users should start elsewhere or use only a half serving if they insist on trying it.

When is the best time to take Mesomorph?

Most users do best taking it 20-30 minutes before training. That timing gives the stimulant matrix time to come on before your working sets while also allowing the pump ingredients to begin contributing as blood flow rises during the session.

Will Mesomorph keep me awake at night?

It can. Because the formula is high-stim and also includes naringin and theobromine, the energy curve may feel longer-lasting than you expect from a typical pre-workout. If you train in the evening or are sensitive to stimulants, this is not an ideal choice.

What makes Mesomorph different from transparent-label pre-workouts?

Mesomorph differentiates itself through a more old-school aggressive stimulant experience and niche inclusions like creatinol-O-phosphate, but it gives up transparency in the process. Transparent-label formulas let you verify every gram against research; Mesomorph asks you to trust the experience and the architecture more than the printed numbers.

A bewitching retelling of Arthurian legend!
Format: Kindle
In a land where the Fae have nearly become only a legend and those who still posses even a morsel of the blood are few and far between, Morgan finds herself cast aside by most of society due to her rumored half-Fae lineage, including her brother, King Arthur. With the kingdom at the brink of war, Arthur entrusts her with a quest to retrieve a Fae weapon of legendary power: the sword of Perun, Excalibur. Accompanied by men she loathes, Captain Kairos Draven and Ragnar Whitehorn, she embarks on her long and unbeknownst perilous journey, only to find that things she once believed to be myth are in fact very real. With devastating twists, omitted truths, witty banter and fierce action, Queen of Roses leaves you begging to know more about the secrets of Aercanum! Wow, wow, wow! Going into this story, I did not realize that it was going to be a retelling of Arthurian legend, especially not one with a fantastical twist! The unique spin almost gave me The Witcher vibes and I think adding Fae into the mix was quite interesting. I knew the basics of the legend but after reading this book, it has piqued my interest and makes me want to learn more about it. My attention was snatched as soon as I finished the prologue and I knew that I was going to devour this story. I truly enjoyed the gender swaps and even how Arthur was portrayed as villainous. Morgan’s past and even her parts of her present is absolutely heartbreaking, and I felt for her at times. I can only recall one other book that made me hate characters the way I despised Florian and Arthur, leaving me with my blood boiling and feeling disgusted. Even after finishing the book, Draven is still a mystery to me and I cannot figure out how to feel about him. I guess they just means that the author did an excellent job at conveying each character’s persona! The rich world building and imagery made it easy for me to visualize the places that the group visited along their journey. I am truly engulfed in this story and I cannot wait to see wait fate awaits Morgan and how the Fae will be even more incorporated in the next book!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Enchanting
Format: Kindle
"Queen of Roses" by Briar Boleyn is a delightful and refreshing reimagining of the classic tale of King Arthur, with a captivating twist that places the spotlight on Morgan, a character who has often been overshadowed in traditional retellings. Boleyn's creative decision to shift the narrative perspective to Morgan breathes new life into the story, offering readers an intriguing and compelling look at the Arthurian world from an entirely different angle. One of the most commendable aspects of this book is its incorporation of Fae elements, which adds an enchanting layer of magic and mystery to the already familiar Arthurian setting. Boleyn skillfully weaves the world of the Fae into the narrative, creating a captivating backdrop against which the events of the story unfold. This addition not only adds depth to the world-building but also provides ample opportunities for twists and turns that keep readers thoroughly engrossed. However, while the book boasts numerous strengths, it does have one noticeable flaw: the characterization of Morgan. While it is reasonable to create a flawed and complex protagonist, it appears that at times, Morgan's character becomes overly difficult and hard to relate to. Her persistently negative perception of one of the main male characters, who is a potential love interest, despite his efforts to support and assist her, may come across as somewhat irrational and could test the patience of some readers. Striking a balance between a strong, independent character and one who can recognize genuine support and affection could have enhanced the overall reader experience. Nonetheless, the allure of "Queen of Roses" lies in its innovative approach to the Arthurian legend and its skillful blending of fantasy elements into a familiar narrative. Boleyn's evocative prose draws readers into a world where magic, destiny, and fate entwine, leaving us eager to uncover the mysteries that unfold within the pages. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

An action-packed dark romantasy
Format: Kindle
I loved this book! Queen of Roses is an Arthurian-inspired dark romantasy that is the first book in the Blood of Fae series. The story follows Morgan, the princess of Camelot who is rumored to be part fae. Fueled by prejudiced hatred and a mistrust of fae blood, Morgan’s abusive father strips her of her birthright and hands it to her half-brother, Arthur. Instead of becoming queen, Morgan is commanded to join the temple of the goddesses when she comes of age. However, Arthur turns into a psychopathic, power-hungry, fae-hating king as he ages. He develops malevolent plans and commands Morgan to find an ancient weapon with legendary power. Although Morgan is wary of Arthur’s intentions, she embraces the opportunity to go on a journey and potentially change her fate. The story picks up from there and we follow Morgan on her quest to find the ancient relic. It’s full of high stakes adventure, mystery, tension, banter, forced proximity, hidden magic, self discovery, and betrayal. This first installment of the series intricately develops the world building and character development. There’s little romance in this book, but it is evident that it is a slow burn that will continue to develop throughout the remainder of the series. Overall, I loved the world building, the epic fantasy, Morgan’s journey of self discovery, and all of the twists and turns that set the stage for the future installments. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Arthurian Fae Quest…say less.
Format: Kindle
A fae centered Arthurian tale unlike any I’ve read so far. The author did a great job at descriptive world building, with scenes easily playing out in my minds eye. There was plenty of action, suspense, and even a touch of horror. An enemies to lovers, slow burn romance, a quest, with plot twist and turns aplenty. There was a love triangle, which I’m not usually a fan of but, it played out well in this story line. The FMC, Morgan Pendragon, was so blatantly naïve, yet I typically expect as much in a ‘book one’ of a series, especially one that features a fairly sheltered princess. I was happy to read that in spite of this, she still showed a strong sense of morals, fire, and spine. Now our MMC? Kairos Draven, aka Void’s Edge. Oh, how I’m a sucker for a smoking’ hot grumpy warrior alpha with a witty mouth, and a strong sense of “touch her and die” attitude, so you know who held all my cards. That ending? Just made me swoon all the harder. Now add a battlecat that rivals the size of a horse…and well Ms. Briar Boleyn you have well and truly stolen my heart. I’m excited to see where the story goes from here, and follow along to see more of the characters growth. I went into this story fairly blind, and I think I enjoyed it all the more because of it. Once the story got going, it had me in an absolute chokehold and it was difficult to put down.

Not a bad start
Format: Kindle
3 stars Thank you Netgalley and Briar Boleyn for the ARC! A camelot/king Arthur retelling with fae. I was hooked by the idea of this book immediately and was eager to jump into this world. • slow burn • enemies to lovers • who did this to you Morgan Pendragon watched her mother die by her father's hand when she was just eight years old, hiding under the bed. Morgan is believed to have the tainted blood of the fae in her veins and is cast aside so that her fathers illegitimate son, Arthur, can become the king. She's seen his cruel treatment of the fae firsthand, so when he sends her on a journey to find a fae weapon she seizes the opportunity to do more with her life. Along the way, she finds more than she could have imagined. I don't know a whole lot about King Arthur and Camelot but I had a lot of fun with this story! The plot has some similar tropes to popular romantasy books (From blood and ash) but there's enough originality here that it doesn't feel like I'm reading a copy. I liked how the fae were different in appearance than what is typical in most fantasy books I've read. In this book they have blue hair, violet skin and a wide range of other characteristics. I thought that the world building was easy to follow and I could easily immerse myself into this world. After reading the blurb I kept wondering when she was going to go on the journey to find Excalibur and it doesn't happen until around the 45% mark. The story is a bit slow at times but starts to pick up once they begin their journey to find Excalibur. The John Wick style Inn was a fun concept that I enjoyed reading about. There are a lot of similarities to this and FBAA and I would have liked to have it be a little more different, but I'm hoping book two will have the story turn into something of its own. Overall I enjoyed reading this story and I'm looking forward to reading book two especially after that ending.
